Conversation with Soumeya Ait Ahmed and Nadir Bouhmouch

This proposition was meant to share what AWAL has accomplished in the last three years between field research, collecting oral stories and poems, organising workshops and residencies, exhibitions, public programming and publication:

"We hope through this discussion to have an exchange about our methodology and how it has evolved over time, from a focus on archiving to a focus on blending collection and transmission through various artistic mediums.”

It was also an opportunity to present the book to come "Memory 20", which invites young Moroccan artists and researchers to develop on Ahmed Bouanani's idea of translating our popular oral culture into visual forms like cinema.
