A series of gatherings/ workshops under the title ‘Reactivating Traditional and Alternative Archival Formats’ with local artists and filmmakers was organized at Art Gallé. The Maison des Cineastes in Nouakchott circulated the announcement of the gatherings among their local members who were very keen on interrogating the use of archive in film. A Public Talk was given by Jihan El Tahri and Q&A sessions by Maky Madiba Sylla and Katy-Lena Nd’iaye.
